This 8-hour course provides an introduction and overview of the criminal intelligence function; defines relevant terms, describes the intelligence process, and provides uniform guidelines to assist personnel in meeting their responsibilities.
Additionally, the criminal intelligence environment will be discussed along with available resources (such as joint task force and retional intelligence centers). The course will also cover legal issues and suggestions on how to avoid pitfalls and be successful. It is provided from a field agent's point of view, making the concepts presented immediately implementable in the field.
